Milly Barzellai. born in 1986 in Israel to Brazilian parents. Served in the Navy in the submarine fleet between 2005-2008 in the underwater electronics (sonar) department. Studied a bachelor’s degree in art BFA, Bezalel (2013), and an MFA master’s degree from the Art Institute of Chicago, SAIC (2017). The winner of the Young Artist of the Ministry of Culture 2021 in Israel, won an excellence scholarship for an international artist from the Association of Artists in Chicago (2017-2015), USA and the Loren and Michel Presser prize for painting (Israel, 2013) exhibited in a variety of museums and galleries including: Herzliya Museum, Bat-Yam Museum, Dana Gallery, the Sixth Biennale (at the Artists’ House in Jerusalem), the Artists’ House in Tel Aviv, the Sullivan Gallery, and the Patron Gallery (in Chicago), the Portsgabener Gallery (Los Angeles) and the Grabora Gallery (in Sao Paulo, Brazil).
