I am a research-based curator and multidisciplinary artist who uses self-representation and intersectio- nal analysis to explore contemporary proletarian identities while deconstructing power dynamics. My artistic practice began with an exploration of gender identity and sexuality, using my body as both concept and medium. Today, I work from my position as working class and Mediterranean diaspora, reclaiming and reanimating visual languages that are often exoticized, romanticized, or dismissed.

I work across painting, ceramics, photography, garments, and sculptural installations. The performa- tive dimension of my work shapes how these mediums are encountered: the body, intimacy, labor, and the gaze remain central terrains of negotiation. My use of kitsch, ornamentation, and colorful excess is not ironic or distanced. I am invested in pleasure, sentimentality, and material beauty as forms of knowledge, connection, and resistance. My work holds a critical tone while remaining humo- rous and seductive, aiming to bring tenderness and sensory pleasure into political discourse. Through playful critiques of identity, I examine family roles, national icons, and cultural stereotypes, insisting on the complexity of belonging.

My curatorial practice reflects the same commitments. Squish is a queer-feminist platform collabora- ting with LGBT+ creators to explore identity politics through intersectional and community-based ap- proaches. Kollection Kitsch democratizes fine arts by presenting proletarian and non-institutionalized artists in unconventional spaces, celebrating “bad taste,” shared agency, and collective visibility.
